felt like saying something inspirational :) these photos were another day on my trip through the desert. black and turquoise i would have to say is my favorite color combo. and this outfit it’s a semi funny story. i think this “dress” is actually a poncho you are supposed to wear on your shoulders. note: in fashion never do what your “supposed” to do. i was trying it on and I thought “i wonder if i can wear this as a skirt” and i was pulling it down over my arms (because of course im too lazy to actually take it off and pull it up my legs like normal). anyways it got stuck at my boobs.. which i’m not all really sure why because theres not all that much to stick on haha. but none the less it was stuck, and i looked in the mirror and it was perfect. destiny? maybe. and that was that. i bought it for 15 dollars at wasteland (amazing vintage/thrift store in hollywood). couldn’t ask for a better bargain. and now it’s made its lovely way as the perfect dress for my desert trip and ended up right here on my blog. :) worn with my favorite bracelets ever by and my usual hippie boots by minnetonka.
by the time we actually got around to taking pictures that day the sun was already going down and it had gotten a little breezy/chilly out. and by chilly i mean not 80 degrees and sunny. haha. i threw on my favorite shawl from american apparel and a cowboy hat because my hair was a little unruly from the wind. :) all pictures by

please link back to me if you want to use them

and if you love me you can hype me on lookbook :)

  17. I love love love the poncho/dress! It's so awesome when you find an old skirt (or in this case poncho) that you can turn into a tube top/dress. And those boots are wickedddddd, I have a similar pair from a vintage shop, but mine look a bit more costumey Indian.. Ha, having a difficult time figuring out how to wear them, but you rock them fabulously!

  18. Gorgeous. Love your blog. Now following. Hope you'll follow me back.
