How to fight Dry Winter Skin

  • Since I posted some of my favorite body lotions for dry winter skin, I wanted to follow up with some of my favorite face moisturizers that can help keep your skin looking supple and hydrated this winter. I like to switch up my skin
products since my skin seems to get used to a certain product and responds to a change every few days or so.  If you have a minute, I’d love to hear some of your favorites. I’m always looking to try something new.
  • This is one of my favorite daytime moisturizers for all the seasons but it’s especially good for dry winter skin. It’s extremely moisturizing. It has a 25spf and is lightly tinted. It holds moisture to the skin and gives a beautiful sheen. Even those with oily skin may appreciate this in the winter.
  • The ultimate winter moisturizer. It’s light and creamy and feels so luxurious on your skin. It sinks right in without feeling greasy. It’s intensely hydrating and made with all natural ingredients. Ultra Facial Cream forms a barrier to help your skin retain moisture and nutrients for hydrated, smooth, radiant looking skin. Works well over all your anti aging products.
  • CeraVe Facial Moisturizing Lotion (night)
This is a drugstore favorite. It contains ceramides and hyaluronic acid which help skin attract and hold moisture. It penetrates the skin to help replace key lipids which are essential in forming a protective barrier. This is a great choice for all skin types, even sensitive skin. For a real nighttime boost use with your favorite antioxidant serum.
  • Another one of my go-to day moisturizers. It’s smooth creamy texture melts into your skin and hydrates without feeling greasy. I has an spf20 and works with all skin types. It mixes well with other products and leaves your foundation looking flawless. I sometimes mix this with my foundation for a light natural look.
  • Olay Complete All Day Moisturizer with Sunscreen
This little gem is a real bargain. At $8 or so it’s a great basic daytime moisturizer. This light non greasy formula conditions with aloe, vitamin B3 and pro-vitamin B5. It soaks right into your skin and protects with a 15spf. This is  great for all skin types and is moisturizing enough for winter skin. There is also a formula for sensitive skin which has a 30spf.

  2. Thanks for this post, I have been trying some of the face oils that have been so widely recommended and they just don”t do the trick. I love Bobbi Brown foundation and did not know about the tinted moisturizer. I love those because with with a touch of blush I can still get away without makeup.

Hello! I haven’t try the products you showed us, but I know they’re good brands with quality ingredients.
I recommend for daytime ORIGINS GinZing Energy-Boosting Moisturizer and for night.. KORRES Black Pine Firming, Lifting & Antiwrinkle Night Cream.
I’ve been using them for the last months and I can be happier with my skin.. people start to notice and asking what am I doing haha
Well.. hope you try them and love them like I do.

  13. Clinique drys my skin out during the winter months. But I guess it depends on your skin type. Origins in a perfect world is heaven for sensitive skin and it also has a faint scent of oranges.
