Must Have Hair Products

  • I get so many emails, comments, questions about my hair and what products I use. I’ve decided to break it down and start with some of my favorite styling products. First some background about my hair. It’s very thick and slightly wavy. I have it highlighted every few months so it’s on the dry side. I also get salon keratin treatments regularly. This has made a huge difference in strength and quality of my hair. Shiny with body and bounce. I highly recommend it for those of you with thick, wavy, frizzy or over- processed hair.

  • I switch products a lot and try everything, some of my favorite products of the moment are:

  • Oribe-Impermeable anti-humidity spray: My savior for anywhere humid or beach days. It seals your hair to avoid frizz caused by humidity. This is a very fine mist and you don’t need a lot. Spray on the top layer, flip your hair upside down and spray underneath.

  • Bumble & Bumble Cityswept Finish: Great mix of hairspray and wavy beach spray. Adds a light hold to your hair but also makes it piecey and messy for that effortless street style model off duty look.

  • Enjoy Conditioning Spray: I hope that Enjoy never stops making this product! It’s one of the best blow-dry styling products out there. It’s great for all hair types. Even those with oily hair will love this one. It gives your hair incredible shine, softness and bounce, without making it heavy or oily. After shampooing and using your regular conditioner, towel dry, spray this on damp hair and comb through. You can also apply to sections when blow-drying, and it works great the next day as there is no product buildup.

  • Mason Pearson mixed bristle/nylon hair brush: This is “The” brush. It’s expensive but a great investment that will last you may years. It’s genuine boar bristles and nylon bristles are the perfect combination for smooth shiny hair. It doesn’t cause split ends or irritate the scalp and will spread sebum evenly over the hair strands for beautiful, healthy hair. A must for medium to long haired girls!

  • Kevin Murphy Young Again Immortelle infused treatment oil: One of my top hair oils. This is a weightless leave-in treatment which counteracts your hairs oxidation and aging process. Apply a few squirts to wet hair and a little on the ends after it’s dry. It makes you hair so soft and shiny without looking greasy or weighing it down.

I love the Maison Pearson brush! I’ve got one in pink. The only thing is, I don’t think it’s great on wet hair so I love to use the Tangle Teezer for that.
