Nothing reminds me of old Hollywood glamour quite like Gucci. Even today when I think of modern day Gucci I picture Blake Lively with perfectly spiraled locks gliding down the red carpet, in an eye-catching dazzling dress. So when Gucci asked me to share my take on old Hollywood glamour in celebration of the new Gucci Premiere Eau de Toilette perfume I was so thrilled to be a part of the project.
The Eau de Toilette is a lighter, more delicate version of the House’s memorable signature scent. It’s soft, vibrant (with some of my favorite scents – orange blossom, freesia and jasmine) and perfect for everyday use.
I wanted to create a visual diary balancing classic and modern day glam, all on faded, aged film. The location- an old Hollywood mansion with spiral staircases, checkered floors and more fireplaces than one could possibly ever use. The look- striking eyes, classic red-carpet ringlets and wardrobe from Gucci’s mesmerizing FW2014 collection.
In the moment I really felt like a classic Hollywood starlet.
Stay tuned for part two of this shoot.
