My Looks

The sport inspired look has been a major trend over the past year, along with a massive resurgence of every brand that was wildy popular in the 90s. Being a child of the 90s it brings back fond memories, in fact some of the very first I have of fashion. 5th grade- from the back of the school bus (okay actually the front cause only the cool older kids sat in the back) I would peer over my shoulder back at the middle school girls in their cool drawstring track pants, sneakers, crop tops, chokers and blasting Aaliyah “Are you that somebody?”. Oh ya the good ol’ days. By the time I was old enough to wear a crop top without looking like a pre-teen boy those trends had long come and gone. So I’m wasting no time reliving those moments now. Sorry mom for making fun of your visors and sneakers- I should have listened when you said everything comes around again. So I’ve got my track pants, check, my new Reebok Skyscapes, check, (which by the way are the lightest and most comfy sneakers I’ve ever owned), my choker, check, and my visor. Checkmate. True 90’s hip hop babe. “If at first you don’t succeed, dust yourself off and try again.” My fellow 90’s lovers will get me on this one.
